Welcome to Brighter Strides ABA
In-Home Services

Personalized Treatment of Autism at Home

With our in-home ABA therapy services, Brighter Strides ABA Board Certified Behavior Analysts come to you. We provide expert one-on-one treatment for your child in the safe and nurturing environment that you have created at home.

Your home is a safe place where your child finds comfort and support. It is the place where independent living skills like personal hygiene and social interaction at family dinners and sharing toys with siblings happen in real-time. Home-based ABA therapy allows our therapists to get a first-hand account of your child’s behavior in the home, identify areas that need improvement, interact with your child in his/her own environment, and more directly involve family member support.

ABA at home is more than a comfort and convenience. The benefits of an in-home ABA therapy program can have significant benefits for your child’s progress and your family’s growth.

Why Choose Brighter Strides ABA Therapy at Home?

There is no place like home.

Familiarity, Safety, and Comfort

The familiar environment of home is an effective ABA therapy setting for treating children with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences. Home provides a level of safety and comfort that cannot be understated in the treatment of autism.

Our in-home ABA therapy services are provided in a child’s “safe space,” a familiar environment that does not require your child to adapt to a new setting. Meeting our therapy team in a familiar, relaxed setting can help ease the transition into therapy and reduce distractions, allowing for better focus during skill development.

Many children prefer being in the secure comfort of their home, or are anxious in groups with other children. A home-based program can be especially important for children who struggle in larger settings.

We come to you for increased flexibility, convenience, and engagement.

We come to you for increased flexibility, convenience, and engagement.

With our home-based ABA therapy, you can arrange your child’s sessions to fit seamlessly into your family’s routine. We coordinate our home-based ABA services around your schedule.

There is no need to juggle scheduling appointments with multiple commitments or coordinate transportation needs. Our at home ABA therapy sessions integrate smoothly into your daily life at home.

Empowered Parents & Families

A home-based therapy model ensures that family members can participate in their child’s sessions. An in-home autism therapy program allows parents to have greater access to training, coaching, and knowledge sharing. Therapists in the home are able to engage caregivers in their daily routines. They can provide real-time parent education on strategies to manage behavioral issues as they arise, enhancing the development of relational skills.

Home is a natural environment for learning and information gathering.

Real-Life Settings

In-home ABA therapy allows our therapists to work on skills and behavior strategies in real-life settings rather than simulations in the clinic.

This approach offers more opportunities for natural environment training in daily living skills such as dressing, toileting, participating in family mealtime, bedtime routines, and personal hygiene. As a result, children can develop greater independence and generalize life skills more effectively than when learning in a center and then applying them at home.

Increased Insights

When our clinicians work with your child at home, they gain a deeper understanding of family dynamics, routines, and interactions. This insight allows them to help parents set meaningful goals and develop skills that benefit both the child and the entire family.

ABA therapy in home also allows real-world situations, like mealtime or playtime, to be part of the session. Learned behaviors and new skills are able to be applied in the moments that most impact your child's daily life.

Home offers added motivation, reinforcement, and bonding opportunities.

Motivating Reinforcers

In-home therapy has the advantage of using familiar surroundings, toys, and even family members as reinforcers to boost motivation.

Playing on a beloved backyard swingset, for example can provide a level of encouragement for a child that can’t be replicated in the clinic and therapists can coach caregivers on how to apply these techniques in family life at home.

Family Bonding

By opting for ABA therapy at home, children have access to siblings, parents, other family members, and caregivers as part of their ABA program.

By incorporating peer play and activity sharing in the home, our therapists can facilitate family interactions that helps children improve their social skills, reinforces learning, and strengthens sibling bonds.

In-home ABA allows for intense and at-home only behavior modifications.

Behavior Intensity

In some cases, a child's behaviors can be so intense that progress in a center-based setting is not possible, or can become a challenge.

Our in-home ABA services give clinicians and parents an opportunity to collaborate on adjusting any hindering behaviors before focusing on other skills, either at home or in a clinical setting.

At-Home Only Behaviors

Autistic children may exhibit certain behaviors exclusively at home. In such cases, our in-home ABA therapy support is not only ideal but necessary.

In-home ABA sessions provide our therapists with an opportunity to observe at-home only behaviors, assess the underlying cause(s), and work directly on behavior modifications.
